Combine to Create Christmas Gathering

The best laid plans…yesterday the Combine to Create Creative Practitioners were due to meet at Greenbrae Steading for a pre-Xmas gathering.

Unfortunately the wintry weather, the flu and Covid had other plans!

Nonetheless, members of the group did manage to meet online and enjoy an afternoon of insightful sharing and peer support.

It was fantastic to hear everyone describe their respective projects with passion and joy, while contributing to forward planning for the next phase of this project.

We are already seeing the incredibly positive impacts that placing creative practitioners in and with communities of place and people through longer term residencies is having.

More on this to follow soon – expect another big announcement about the Combine to Create programme early in the New Year.

A champion of arts and culture has been awarded an MBE in recognition of her service to Moray. Nearly 14 years after founding producer of cultural events and activities, Findhorn Bay Arts, Kresanna Aigner is thrilled to be included in the New Year’s Honours List. She said: “I am deeply honoured. It reflects not just my own work, but the dedication, creativity and belief of the artists, colleagues, volunteers, partners and communities who have shaped Findhorn Bay Arts. “This recognition belongs to everyone who believes that high-quality culture matters, that rural places deserve ambitious creative opportunities, and that the arts can connect people, strengthen communities, and open up possibilities.
