Findhorn Bay Festival 2026 invites local communities to connect, create and take part in Festival activities

Findhorn Bay Festival returns from 24 September to 4 October 2026 with a vibrant programme inspired by the theme of Connection. Across ten days, Moray will come alive with theatre, music, visual art, circus, outdoor events and community celebrations in unexpected spaces and stunning locations.

We have just launched our Get Involved programme, inviting people of all ages to take part through volunteering, performing, storytelling, workshops and community events. Highlights include the return of Culture Day Forres, Storylands Sessions with Hamish Napier, a pop-up street band for brass players and drummers and free school performances of My Friend Selma as part of the Theatre in Schools Scotland (TISS at 10) anniversary programme.

The multi-award-winning festival offers opportunities for communities and visitors alike to connect, create and celebrate creativity together.

A champion of arts and culture has been awarded an MBE in recognition of her service to Moray. Nearly 14 years after founding producer of cultural events and activities, Findhorn Bay Arts, Kresanna Aigner is thrilled to be included in the New Year’s Honours List. She said: “I am deeply honoured. It reflects not just my own work, but the dedication, creativity and belief of the artists, colleagues, volunteers, partners and communities who have shaped Findhorn Bay Arts. “This recognition belongs to everyone who believes that high-quality culture matters, that rural places deserve ambitious creative opportunities, and that the arts can connect people, strengthen communities, and open up possibilities.
