In The Mix Project Celebration

In the Mix, Findhorn Bay Arts’ CashBack for Creativity & We Make Moray funded project has been delivering creative activities for disadvantaged young people across Moray over the past 2 and a half years. The current phase of the project and funding is now coming to an end and yesterday, Monday 2 December, we held a fantastic celebration event to recognise the achievements of the young people who have taken part in the project.

Held at Out of the Darkness Theatre studio in Elgin, the afternoon included a drama and music session, the showing of our end of project film, certificates presented to the young people, performances from Arron Chosla and Rys McCart and a mini exhibition from Aalyiah Edwards.

We also reported the success of the project which has included participation from 275 young people across 85 creative programmes amounting to over 300 sessions.  Key outcomes of the project include 91% of participants reporting their confidence has increased from being part of the project, 85% feel their skills have increased and that they have increased aspirations – fantastic achievements for all!
