Update from the Festival Director – August 2020
These are unprecedented times and, like everyone, here at Findhorn Bay Festival, we have had to adapt our programme and working situation because of COVID-19.
The 4th Findhorn Bay Festival was scheduled to take place in September as part of Scotland’s Year of Coast and Waters. However, the programme and spectacular new events, which we had been working on for over two years, cannot be realised now in the way we had imagined.
Whilst, we cannot produce the Festival as we had envisaged, Findhorn Bay Arts can support our local and wider communities to come back out, reconnect with people and make creative things happen in Moray.
Over the next twelve months, we will role out a creative programme across the region in collaboration with our regional and national partners. We don’t know yet what our programme will look like and it will depend on the current guidelines as set by the Scottish Government. However, through conversation with artists and our partners and funders, we are adapting ideas and creating new routes of how we can bring a ‘festival’ to you later this year.
Like everyone, we are taking each day as it comes so that the interests of our team, artists, our community and audiences always remain at the core of our heart.
