Shop & Hub Assessment, Evaluation and Research Feasibility Study

With funding from Moray Local Action Group, FBA commissioned an independent study into the future for the shop and hub.

To support our activities and programmes and the local community during the Covid-19 pandemic, Findhorn Bay Arts operated a pilot pop up shop and hub at the heart of the Forres community.

The shop provided a flexible space which worked as a produce market, a creative studio, place for conversation, smaller gatherings and much more.

In February 2023, with funding provided by Moray Local Action Group, FBA commissioned an independent study into the future for the shop and hub, which included public conversations, one to one interviews and analysis of the shop sales and provided suggestions for development.

As we look to the future it remains important to us that FBA continue to “connect and celebrate Moray’s communities, places and people through exceptional and diverse creative experiences that challenge, inspire and delight”.

FBA are no longer renting the shop and have recently moved and have taken up residence at 98 High street, Forres which is a lovely space with access to a courtyard and there may be opportunities to explore pop up mini markets, gatherings and smaller events here in the future. Watch this space!

FBA have no immediate plans to develop a shop at this time but, we remain committed and passionate about showcasing local food culture and producers through gatherings, events, workshops and creativity.

FBA will continue to gently explore the interest and viability for the development of a new creative hub space for Forres and more broadly our role as a ‘hub’ for creativity and cultural development.
