In partnership with The Stove Network in Dumfries and Galloway (D&G), artists DJ McDowall (D&G) and Margot Henderson (Moray) are collaborating to develop and deliver this project, which will culminate in an event in Forres running from Thursday 27 – Saturday 29 March 2025.
We invite you to explore the lost histories of Moray by reimagining Moray – Then and Now and immerse yourself in the wild of The Missing Museum to become our Community Co-Curators taking a fresh look at how we (re)view the past and its impact on our future.
Notice what is absent and explore the stories that are missing and the people who are underrepresented. Bridge the gaps in Moray’s shared local histories, redress the imbalance, reclaim the neglected narratives, and discover new stories and unsung heroes whilst unpacking the importance of history in our lives.
On behalf of all those people whose voices are lost, silenced, or still go unheard, join us in rectifying the misrepresentations and omissions.
