Bakehouse Pop-Up Shop

Supporting local organic growers, artists and makers during the Covid-impacted summer.

Our partnership with The Bakehouse, Findhorn’s acclaimed cafe and bakery, supported local organic growers and artisanal producers, artists and makers during the Covid-impacted summer of 2020.

Open Wednesday to Friday from June to September 2020, our shop at 86 High Street provided a pop-up outlet for local growers and makers, selling freshly baked bread, home grown fruit and veg, face-masks, t-shirts and other locally produced items.

The Pop-Up shop was supported by a range of creative installations and performances around the market square of Forres, helping to create a lively and vibrant shopping experience in the town, while encouraging the local community to eat high quality local organic food.

By supporting local businesses during the Covid-19 pandemic helping to create a more enjoyable and creative shopping experience for the local community, and helped to contribute to the creative regeneration right in the heart of Forres’ High Street at the height of the global pandemic.

The Pop-Up shop also supported ten local producers and makers, while creating employment for two shop assistants and several Moray-based performers and artists.
