In collaboration with artists Amy Neville and Eve Mosher, FBA invites you to creatively connect with the Moray coastline and contribute to a local artwork of batik silk pennants that will be displayed as part of the Findhorn Bay Festival.
Beach of Dreams invites you to step outside, walk together, and explore our coastlines’ unique heritage, cultures and climate futures. It is a chance to reflect on our relationship with these extraordinary landscapes, discover fresh perspectives, and imagine new possibilities for the future.

After making the pennants, we need to iron them, and many hands make light work! We would really appreciate it if you could join us at Naturally Useful to help iron out the wax on Saturday, 22nd August. 10am – 4pm at The Barn, Naturally Useful, Marcassie Farm, Forres, IV36 2RH.
The Act of Walking – Sunday 4 October, Findhorn
Join local artists Eve Mosher, Amy Neville and the creator and founder of Beach of Dreams Ali Pretty for a reflective coastal walk featuring the hand-painted silk pennants that have been created.
During the walk, participants are invited to carry these lightweight silks and engage with five guiding questions that explore themes of our relationship to the coast and our responsibility to look after it. The journey culminates in a temporary installation on the beach, where the silks are placed in the sand, creating a shared moment of reflection and dialogue within the landscape.
Suitable for adults, and 12 years +
Young people under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by an adult.
Participation is FREE and places are limited to 25 people per workshop. Registration is required.
