A meeting place for people working in the arts
Findhorn Bay Arts is delighted to welcome award-winning artist, choreographer and producer Gail Sneddon as host of this Culture Café. Gail will take you on a guided walk from Burghead to Roseisle, culminating in a vegetarian picnic lunch (which will be provided by Lethan Croft) by the bonfire.
Culture Café was founded in 2011 as a meeting place for the local arts community, Culture Café brings together people working in the arts who are interested in networking, sharing ideas, developing partnerships, and accessing peer support. At its heart, Culture Café is about creating a mutually supportive environment in which arts and culture can flourish.
As a neurodivergent artist, performance-making is Gail’s primary way of communicating and connecting with others. “If big-room conversations and eye contact make you want to hide behind a plant, this walking Culture Café is for you. It’s designed for people who connect more easily while walking outdoors, where eye contact is optional and there’s no pressure to sit or stand still. We’ll walk, talk (or not), and end with a delicious hot lunch and drinks around a fire, just a chance to meet like-minded folk, whether you are a meanderer or a mingler or somewhere in between.” – Gail Sneddon
