Be inspired by innovative growers who are leading the way in producing and thinking about sustainable food in Moray and beyond, with talks by Lisa Shaw (Biomatrix Water Solutions), Clare Fennel (Scotland The Bread), Iain Findlay (Green Grow Mushrooms) and Mairi McCallum (Moray Food Plus).

A complimentary lunch will also be provided by Brett Mather (Forres Coffee House) using locally produced ingredients drawn together into a menu which celebrates the town of Forres.

Unexpected Ceilidh

Main Hall, Forres Town Hall (8pm to 12midnight)

Featuring The Boatshed Band and special guests Andy Thorburn, Dopey Monkey, DJ Dolphin Boy and visuals by John McGeogh (Arts in Motion).

Since their Moray coastal origins in 2014 The Boatshed Band have skilfully entertained thousands of revellers with their eclectic mix of Scottish and Pan-European traditional and modern folk tunes. If you’re looking for a braw ceilidh dance, then look no further than this 7-piece collective, complete with fiddles, keyboard, mandola, guitar and bodhrán. And no worries if you don’t know the moves: their seasoned caller Morag will keep your feet firmly off the ground!

Bring your own bottle and enjoy complimentary vegetarian stovies prepared by Brett Mather (Forres Coffee House) using locally grown produce.

All ages welcome. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Unexpected Gardens have been grown by the local community in partnership with Findhorn Bay Arts as part of Dandelion, the Scotland-wide creative growing initiative. Find out more on our project page.
