“Granted; we are but songbirds.
Though Nature has charged us wi a task –
Tae cerry forward these forgotten wurds,
An we’re duty bound, alas.“
As part of Scotland’s Year of Young People 2018, Findhorn Bay Arts commissioned and presented a new and unique promenade adaptation of The Buke of the Howlat, a 15th century epic Old Scots poem by Richard Holland originally written at Darnaway Estate in Moray.
Written by Morna Young and directed by Ben Harrison, the new adaptation received its world premier in the grounds of Brodie Castle during the Findhorn Bay Festival 2018.
Led by a team of team of professional actor-musicians, the production also featured a cast of talented people drawn from the local community.
