Free online discussions for 16-25 year olds featuring music industry professionals part of our AMP:Music programme for young music makers.

Creating Work & Working Creatively is a forward thinking online series of discussions between music industry professionals, designed to help shine a light on what it is to work, create and sustain a career, passion or lifestyle within the music industry.

Biog: Ira is a DJ and promoter from Glasgow who runs ‘Bass Warrior Soundsystem’.

#2 AMBIENT BABESTATION MELTDOWN

Topic: Individual Creative Practice

Rachael will discussing her creative output as Ambient Babestation Meltdown, crafting complicated mixes from home and implementing sampling as part of her creative practice.

Biog: Rachael is a club booker and creative director based in London, where she DJs and produces under the name of Ambient Babestation Meltdown.

Topic: Releasing music and DJ culture

Ian and Lewis will be discussing releasing music in the music scene including running a label, platforms and self-releasing.

Biog: BONZAI BONNER has for the past six years been the single creative force behind SHOOT YOUR SHOT, a highly successful Glasgow-based club event where she occupies the multi-faceted role of curator, DJ, performer and host.

#5 SIOBHAN WILSON

Topic: Creative Practice & Releasing music

Siobhan Biog: Singer, multi-instrumentalist, composer, songwriter, library music producer, Siobhan Wilson was born in Elgin, Scotland, UK. She is a trained cellist from St Mary’s Music School of Edinburgh and pianist, guitarist, and composer. Siobhan has 14 years of live touring and studio production experience in New York, Paris and Scotland. After a 5 year stay in Paris, France, has returned to the UK where she has become one of Scotland’s most exciting artists.

ABOUT AMP:Music

AMP:Music is a new creative programme of music making, industry workshops and artist mentorship for young music makers in Moray.

Funded by the Youth Music Initiative (YMI), the project offers young people in Moray the opportunity to engage in music making initiatives in collaboration with professional practitioners.

Building on In the Mix (our three-year CashBack for Creativity project), and REMIX (our previous Youth Music Initiative project) AMP:Music provides a range of opportunities for young people to collaborate, create and be mentored by professional music makers.
