Geese & Migration: Bird Watching with Wild Things! and Findhorn Bay Arts

This event has now passed.

A unique opportunity to find out more about the birdlife of Findhorn Bay. Presented as part of the Findhorn Watershed Initiative.

This event is part of the Findhorn Watershed Initiative – a multi-generational vision to restore a mosaic of nature rich habitats, grow a culture of nature connection and enable a thriving nature-based economy for the people and places of the River Findhorn Watershed.

We will meet at the bird hide at 8am where we will be joined by members of Moray Bird Club who will be able to provide expert knowledge on the birds of the bay. At 9am, we will head down to the Findhorn Village Centre for a creative session with Findhorn Bay Arts exploring migration and the River Findhorn. The event will finish at midday.

Parking is available at the bird hide and at the Findhorn Village Centre and a minibus will shuttle participants who need transport from the bird hide to the Findhorn Village Centre.

The event is accessible to those with additional needs but access to the bay and bird hide is not wheelchair accessible.

Bring snacks and appropriate clothing for the weather and LOTS of warm clothes as it will be cold at the bay first thing. Hot drinks will be provided.

Please bring binoculars or a scope if you have them. If you don’t, it is no problem as we will provide extras.

This is a free event but places are limited so booking is essential.

Sorry but we cannot have dogs attend this event.
