Celebrating a summer of sowing, growing and sharing

Well what a fantastic day that was – and what a night!

Our Unexpected Gardens Harvest Celebration took place on Saturday 10 September at Forres Town Hall, marking the culmination of a summer of sowing, growing and sharing.

Thanks to all who took part, contributed and came along including:

🌟25 participants on the Living Lanes tour
🌟Over 300 visitors to our market
🌟60 participants at our Cultivating Connections event
🌟160 guests at our Unexpected Ceilidh

Market artists, growers and producers, including Rising Roots Microgreens, Green Grow Mushrooms, Gut Feelings Kombucha, Festival of Thrift and our Strawberry Sundays artists Oonagh and Marion.

Our Living Lanes tour guide Margot Henderson, and Cultivating Connections speakers from Biomatrix Water, Scotland The Bread and Moray Food Plus.

Thanks to Brett Mather of Forres Coffee House for the delicious food and to our brilliant musicians The Boatshed Band, Andy Thorburn, Dopey Monkey, DJ Dolphin Boy – and John McGeogh (Arts in Motion) for the visuals.

A champion of arts and culture has been awarded an MBE in recognition of her service to Moray. Nearly 14 years after founding producer of cultural events and activities, Findhorn Bay Arts, Kresanna Aigner is thrilled to be included in the New Year’s Honours List. She said: “I am deeply honoured. It reflects not just my own work, but the dedication, creativity and belief of the artists, colleagues, volunteers, partners and communities who have shaped Findhorn Bay Arts. “This recognition belongs to everyone who believes that high-quality culture matters, that rural places deserve ambitious creative opportunities, and that the arts can connect people, strengthen communities, and open up possibilities.
