AMP:Music Programme Launched To Support Young Music Makers in Moray

First there was In the Mix. Then there was REMIX. Now there is AMP: Music.

AMP: Music is Findhorn Bay Arts’ new creative programme of music making, industry workshops and artist mentorship aimed at young people aged 13-25 years old.

Funded by the Youth Music Initiative (YMI), the project offers young people in Moray the opportunity to engage in music making initiatives in collaboration with professional practitioners.

AMP: Music features four main strands:

Artist Mentoring

Aimed at young people aged 16-25 years old in Moray who are at a pivotal point in their creative development and are seriously interested in pursuing a career in music. This six month open programme will match five young musicians with five mentors matched to their interests and development needs.

Intro to Music Making

Two six week programmes for 13-16 year olds who are new to music making. Focused on music production, using Logic Pro to create original music and record live instruments.

Open Training

The Open Training programme will consist of 12 online presentations/workshops from industry professionals related to music and the music industry.

Trainee Programme

Supporting a Moray-based music maker to gain training and experience in administration, event management, marketing, project work and live events.
